We use Accelerated Reader to promote and monitor reading in P3-7. Accelerated Reader is a computer program that helps teachers manage and monitor pupils' independent reading practice.

Pupils complete a STAR Reading test five times per year that uses computer-adaptive technology to determine their reading level. Pupils then pick books to read at this level and read them at their own pace. When finished, pupils take a short quiz on the computer - passing the quiz is an indication that a pupil has understood what has been read.

AR Book Finder can be used to check the level of a book and to check whether there is a quiz available on Accelerated Reader.
