  • Learning Support

At Crawfordsburn Primary School we pride ourselves on our ability to know all our pupils as individuals.  Our Learning Support Co-ordinator works in close partnership with our class teachers to assess the needs of our pupils and, through regular monitoring, assessments and diagnostic tests, we are able to identify pupils who may need extra support with their learning.

For some children, this will mean creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs) with detailed targets and interventions designed to remove and minimise potential barriers to learning. For others, it will mean providing additional resources and small group withdrawal support for a period of time. We also work closely with a range of external agencies in order to support pupils with Special Educational Needs.

"All needs are cared for, and every name is known." A P7 Parent.
